“Dead Mans Grave” has been listed in documents and maps for the last four hundred years and was probably known by that name well before that time. The location is at the bottom of Woodhouse Road on the right hand side near to where the railway went through.

The railway line on the left of the picture runs through the area known as “Dead Man’s Grave”.
Interesting item of which I had no knowledge until now.
I am familiar with the location however as I used to work nearby. Is that Oxford Street to the left of your photo? Thanks.
