Does anyone recall going to Sunday School and getting their Star Card stamped? This usually resulted in being given a prize usually a book at a relevant time in the church.

Not in Mansfield but close by. I remember having a Star Card when I attended the Kirkby Park Methodist Church (Chapel) on Vernon Road Kirkby-in-Ashfield. I no longer have the card but attendances went towards a prize. Not sure when the prizes were awarded but I still have my Bible, The Children’s Story Book and Enid Blytons The Three Golliwogs. The more attendances made the more stars and the better the prize.
