I often park in Church Lane, at the end of Littleworth, and use the underpass to go into town, passing St Peters and Church Street.
In Church Lane there was a near-derelict, now demolished building. I have a vague recollection that this building had been the site of something notable, a world first or invention.
Does anyone know anything about the site?

I used to work in the offices of Mansfield Brewery and regularly walked up Church Lane. The building used to belong to Whitley’s Electronics. I think they moved from there up into bigger premises off Belvedere Street, but am not absolutely certain.
