  • The Viaduct says it’s Albert Street…..The Black Swan says it’s Albert Street. The street name plate says it’s Albert Street. There is no doubt it’s Albert Street….Alan

  • An enhancement of photo 5 shows my initial thoughts to be correct, the name on the wall reads, Victoria Hotel, that’ll be the original place, demolished in about 1920. So all 5 photos taken from almost the same standpoint at the top of Albert Street.

  • I now have to agree with Berisford, and say that all the photos are of Albert street, photos 1, 2 & 3 are on the same side as where the Portland Arms pub is situated. And 4 & 5 are opposite, on the same side as where the Victoria pub is.

  • They all look to be taken in the same area, Albert Street.

  • All the photographs appear to be of Albert Street.Mansfield. The Black Swan was built in 1790…The Tram Tracks lead along Nottingham Rd.

  • Photo 1, 2 & 3 are of Albert street. I’m not 100% sure, but 4 & 5 may be at the top of West Gate.
