Were you an Adult Education Teacher in 1989 and did the Teacher Training Certificate? Are you on this photograph? I am 4th in on the second row from the left. The subjects I taught in those days were Family History & Local History, all wonderful experience and a lot has happened since then.

I have just found a Chad newspaper cutting which included this photograph and included in the caption is ‘ Among the students is Edna Smith, the 62 year old Mansfield Woodhouse woman featured in last week’s Chad, who is believed to be the first deaf woman to reach this standard of teacher training.’
I recall Edna, she was a wonderful lady and encouraged and us all with a new awareness of teaching.
