I have been trying to find more information about No 36 Wood Street Mansfield. At present the building is occupied by Mansfield CVS.
Working backwards – in about 1985 the Mansfield Co-op transferred ownership.
In 1952 J. J. Wharmby and Sons sold to the Co-op.
The Wharmby name goes back to 1916 ish. I then have a gap.
A Will of 15th December 1859 for Charles Lindley reveals he was a builder and stone mason and gave his name to Lindley Street. [This goes off of Wood Street].
From what I have found so far, the building may have been used as a pickling factory or some kind of brewing. The search continues.
