Crowds of people flocked to see the annual switching on of the Christmas Lights organised by Forest Town Community Council on Thursday 24th November.
First a short Carol Service took place in St Alban’s Church then Rev Philip Stead switched the tree lights on at the crossroads.
This was followed by a lantern walk to the top of the village.
Rev Ann Anderson then switched on the tree lights opposite the shops, near Kingsway Hall.
People then continued into the Trinity Methodist Church where more carols were sung,
and in true community spirit everyone tucked into Hot Dogs and warm mince pies!
