These railway lines are the ones that ran down the back of the Samworth Academy school (formerly Sherwood Hall School). Is it the same line that had made a right and ran down towards Sandy Lane/Bilborough Road area towards Great Central Road and onwards? The railway line that ran out over Sandy Lane was demolished in the 1970's.
