Myra Moore, she was the landlady of the Squinting Cat Pub in Clipstone around 1977 time, her dad was Fred Moore.

I am told by those in the know that the “Cat” is no more, flattened to make room for the vehicle dealership occupying the site this last few years? One thing is for sure, if the pits were still turning coal, it would still be open, as would many more of our long gone pubs in the district.

I’m sure that’s my eldest brother on the right, Billy Parks. he’s was a great dart player and would have been about 19 at the time. Still lives in the village
