A QEGGS reunion haiku: Travelled back in time Saw my schoolmates once again Sixties were reborn (feel free to add more - 5, 7 and 5 syllables!)

Was June Marsh in the old days! Wish I could have been at the reunion - I remember some of the names. I left in 1956. My big 7 - 0 coming up this year in June, so I shall give a toast to all the Old Girls I remember. Living in Florida and still working full time. Life is good!

I am trying to contact the Hilary Parsons mentioned in the QEGGS reunion page with regard to her family history. If Hilary contacts the site they can put her in contact with me. Thank you in anticipation - John Bradder

I would dearly like to hear from anyone who remembers a girl called Norah Pemblington who lived in Plidworth. Norah attended the Queen Elizabeth Grammer School from 1949 to 1953. She was very good at art and her work was shown to the Queen during her visit in the early 50's. Any information about Norah would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Shelley

I was so pleased to see this. I went to the school 1973 - 1980 and was Angela Kennewell then. I was so sorry to learn that Miss Batty has died - what an icon she was. I am now a teaching and learning advisor in Malaysia. She always inspired (and scared) me!

I was Diane Turner 1961-1966 and my best friend was Leslie Fuller.I remember Freda Ball, Diane Spencer, Angela Tate, Ursula Ulmanis, Heather Spencer, Yvonne and Pauline from Sutton. Who was that elegant girl that did ballroom dancing? Yes, Miss Batty and her long legged pink knickers scared me too! Miss Long who taught Latin...labour vincit omnia. Our lovely RE teacher. Who was it who taught us Geography? You must remember Miss Mann no wonder we all got A's in History. I also remember a lovely English teacher. What about indoor shoes?
